Reviews Plasma HDTVs Panasonic Plasma TVs Panasonic TH-42PH10UKA 42" 1024x768 Dual HDMI Plasma HDTV
We really like the Panasonic TH-42PH10UKA HDTV, maybe even unreasonably, and here's why -- it's so cheap it makes us want to literally sob with joy. It's so affordable that our frugal hearts begin beating at a faster rate just thinking of all the delicious features you're getting for very, very little money. An HDTV for under a 1,000 dollars? Somebody pinch us. The 42" inch screen has a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 60,000 hours of expected service life, a 2-year on-site parts and labor warranty, 3,072 shades of gradation and a [pwerful 16-bit processor. The TV also includes Panasonic's mult-function input slot system, which may sound kind of dirty, but in fact, allows you to integrate any AV, PC or interactive environment in the widest range of vertical or horizontal display applications. Did we just blow your mind?! Sleek, sexy, energy-efficient and with an honest-to-God superb image quality, if you're shopping on a budget, there's very few other TVs out there like it. It's also very aesthetically chic, so it'll beautify your living room while only lightly grazing your bank account -- that's a TV close to our hearts. The only problem with it is it doesn't play full 1080p HDTV, settling instead for a slightly lower quality 720p. Still, if you're one of the few that can spot the difference, looking at the tiny price tag will alleviate any regret. Things That Make It Special:
