Reviews Plasma HDTVs Panasonic Plasma TVs Panasonic TH-50PX77U 50" 720p Plasma HDTV
The Panasonic TH-50PX77U Plasma HDTV isn't the highest-quality screen you can get, it's not a top-end model and it's not necessarily going to win any "Best TV of the Year" awards -- however, at a very fair price, the screen offers some great features and superb quality. The TH-50PX77U is an HDTV but it isn't a full 1080p HDTV -- instead, it has a 1366x768 native resolution -- meaning it's a 720p TV, which technically sounds worse (and technically is) but most normal human beings will hardly notice the difference. The screen also has a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, anti-glare coating, EZ Sync HDAVI control, a built-in GalleryPlayer, a SD Card Memory Slot, side-firing speakers and much, much more. Being very cheap in our heart of hearts, we're loving the TH-50PX77U. It's a great deal and it's got all the goods -- the high contrast ratio ensures deep blacks and bright, popping colors, while the HD will make your Blu-ray discs look like they were made by angels (especially if you're watching Norbit on Blu-ray -- now that's a piece of cinema that will live on for ages). A great deal, a great buy and a great investment, we say if you're buying on a budget than the TH-50PX77U is for you. Things That Make It Special:
